Roosevelt High School
ID POLICY
- All students, staff,
and visitors are required to wear identification badges at all times
while within Eleanor Roosevelt High School or while on school property
(including school buses.)
- The badge, provided
by the high school and attached to a break-away chain, is to hang from
the student’s neck with the student’s name and photo facing forward.
- Students will not
be allowed to attend classes, attend any school functions, or receive
any school services without wearing the proper identification badge.
Action
Plan
- First period teachers
will check to see that their students are wearing their identification
badges each day. The following procedures have been established
for students who violate the identification policy.
Forgotten
ID Badges
- 1st Offense/2nd
Offense/3rd Offense -- The first period teacher will issue
a pressure-sensitive ID Label to be worn during that day and issue a
verbal warning.
- 4th Offense- The
first period teacher will write a PS –74 and the student will be sent
to the grade level administrator. The administrator will attempt to
notify the parent and notify the student that they are on a pending
suspension and must have a parent conference. Student will be given
a pressure-sensitive ID Label for the remainder of the day.
- 5th Offense- The
first period teacher will issue a PS - 74 and send the student to the
grade level administrator. The administrator will place the student
on a suspension.
Badges
Missing After First Period
- If a student enters
periods 2-8 without an ID, the teacher will send the student to the
front desk. The student will receive a temporary ID and return
to class. The student’s name will be given to their administrator.
